A successful cast
Right from the start, the producers knew that the secret of the series’ success was a good cast. A pilot episode was shot but it did not catch the public’s attention. The production re-cast the three protagonists and decided to focus the series on the lives of these three young women. From the very first season, the public was captivated.
Bénédicte Delmas, model for Chanel was at her first filming experience. She charmed the producers with her simplicity, a strong character, as well as her shyness and her modesty. She was a positive, energetic, and determined woman. As the seasons progressed, she wanted to switch to the other side of the camera as a director. She was trained on the series and is now a recognised director.
Adeline Blondieau is an actress, notably in the series « Les filles d’à côté ». Her character is more complex. She is passionate, honest, generous, creative, and always on the move. She is also passionate about horse riding. She started writing comics and this allowed her to relax from the pace of filming. She took advantage of her taste for writing to join the series’s screenwriters, and she wrote the script for several episodes. She continued this activity for many years. Today she works as a sophrologist.
Tonya Kinzinger, the American is also an actress. She had already appeared in the Marathon series « Extreme Limit ». She brought fantasy, listening to others, generosity, and a different culture. She was a keen dancer and put her passion to good use in the series. She continues her work in the cinema, in other series such as « Un si grand soleil » and in the theatre.
A great complicity on screen and in real life!
Beyond the fictional world, Saint Tropez was the setting for a sincere friendship between Adeline Blondieau, Tonya Kinzinger and Bénédicte Delmas. Bénédicte was the first to arrive on the film set and she instantly welcomed her partners. This led to a great complicity between them, which can be seen on screen. However, as they rarely crossed paths on the set, they asked the producers to write scenarios in which they could play together more often.
For the last 15 years, even though they have gone their separate ways, their friendship hasn’t faded away.

The luxury mansions, the beach bar and the streets of Saint-Tropez also contributed to the success of the series and to the reputation of Saint-Tropez among many viewers, especially foreigners, who were able to discover the village.
